It’s that time of year again.The time of year when people in the office debate the pros and cons of the college football championship known as the BCS. Which two teams play in the National Championship is decided by a number of opinion polls and a computer selection. Out of all the polls they use, the most notable is the AP Poll and the Coaches poll. A computer then runs the polls through its own criteria to determine the top two spots. To date only the University of Oklahoma has appeared in all five bowl games with a record of 3-5. The University of Miami has also appeared in the original four bowls but at the time they had no Championship Bowl.
The BCS has drawn criticism for its limited selection process. The current contract has allowed only BCS teams to compete for the championship. The BCS consists of 6 conferences.
