Lose Weight With Cabbage Soup

If you need to shed that extra weight in the fastest way possible, the cabbage soup diet could be your best bet. It is a designed to be implemented over a one week period and often used by those who need to lose weight rapidly to look great for that special event. So what does this routine consist of? Despite what most people think, it’s not just a matter of just eating cabbage soup over a 7 day period. So, the soup actually consists of the following ingredients. 2 Green Peppers, 6 Onions, a large can of tomatoes, 3 carrots, 1 bunch celery, about 10oz of mushrooms, 1 pack of onion soup mix and off course the all important vital ingredient, ½ a head of cabbage. These should be added to about 12 cups of water (or to an equivalent amount of water mixed with V8 juice). The cabbage needs to then cook for approximately 2 hours before the magic concoction is ready to serve!

Now that you have made the soup, here is a list of what you can supplement the diet (along with the soup off course) each day:

DAY 1- Fruit: Apart from banana’s, load yourself up with as much soup and fruit to keep you full. . Make sure to drink just water, cranberry juice and tea, without sugar added.

DAY 2- Vegetables: Excluding dry beans, peas and corn, stock up on all the vegetables you can possibly eat in conjunction with the soup off course. As a reward on Day 1, you may have a baked potato with some butter. No fruit allowed today and as for the drinks, stick to the options of yesterday.

DAY 3 - Fruit and vegetables: Although today doesn’t afford you any small excesses like yesterday, you can still have your fill of fruit and veggies allowed during the first two days. Make sure to have enough soup, too!

DAY 4 - Banana and skimmed milk: Along with your share of soup, you can have about 8 bananas and 8 servings of skimmed milk. You’re bound to feel very energetic after this!

DAY 5- Beef and tomatoes: Today you are allowed 6 fresh tomatoes and around 10-20 ounces (300-500g) of beef. For those who can’t have beef, the alternative is skinless chicken. Besides that, ensure that you stay hydrated, both by sticking with your soup and by downing at least one and a half liters of water.

DAY 6 - Vegetables and beef: Craving a steak? Except for potatoes, you can indulge in however much beef and vegetables you wish. Remember to leave room for the soup too!

DAY 7- Finally, the end is near! Have your soup once again and combine it with as much brown rice and vegetables you feel like. You may also have unsweetened fruit juice. .

Be warned however, that this routine might prove unhealthy if pursued longer than that, since most of your weight loss will in fact be eliminated water. I'm looking to buy some steak weights. Where can I buy some good ones at a reasonable price, preferably in/near San Mateo County?

You don't even need them...take some help from your local "home center". Buy a couple bricks....thoroughly scrub and wash them. Cover them in heavy duty tin foil. They will be the cheapest and the best steak weights you ever owned. :) And I'm not joking either. lol
