Chevy Volt Not Wanted By Anyone, Including Rush Limbaugh
Rush Limbaugh has decided he is going to make the final decision on General Motors' new electric car, the Chevy Volt. According to Politico, Limbaugh claims the $ 41,000 price tag is "a steep price to pay for showing you care about the environment". Limbaugh thinks the $ 7,500 tax credit the government is giving to any person who wants a new environment friendly car, but executives think the Chevy is a "game-changing product". Limbaugh feels like the product is not being marketed well since a game-changing product certainly doesn't need any kind of incentive to be sold. Chevy Volt release makes auto industry look like it is doing better
A car like the Chevy Volt that is battery powered and gas powered shows the industry is doing much better, says Robert Gibbs of the White House. Considering that both the vehicle and its innovative lithium-ion battery are likely to be made in America, the Obama administration could reasonably consider the Chevy Volt a feather in its cap. But you can't please all of the individuals all of the time.
Limbaugh would rather criticize the battery
Rush Limbaugh doesn't care about the outstanding warranty program on the battery of the Chevy when knowing that it takes "three to four hours" to charge up and can only travel 40 miles before gas has to kick in. Limbaugh feels so strongly about the situation that any GM ads which were going to run during his show were canceled. GM received quite a bit of money when it came to bailout time so Limbaugh nicknamed the company "Obama Motors".
'Expensive solutions to promote the environmentalist agenda'
Limbaugh feels like the $ 41,000 Chevrolet Volt and the $ 30,000 Toyota Prius have to be cheaper. Others might argue that the reduction of emissions is worth it in the long run, and the technology will gradually become less expensive. All technology has this problem, and as a consequence, so does all those who buy it. Getting it first means you'll be paying more for it. Some people are likely to have to wait their turn for the car, but the Chevy Volt will be worth it.

if you hookup a AA battier to a 120-24 volt transformer on the 24 volt side what will get voltage &dc/ac ?
hook AA to the 24 volt side of a transformr what comes out the 120 side volts and is dc or ac
Hi! A transformer works on the principle of mutual induction which is valid only when the voltage (or EMF, to be more appropriate) on one of the coils of the transformer is changing with time, as in the case of A.C. voltage. As the magnitude of the voltage changes on one of the coils, the corresponding flux on the other coil also changes, thus giving rise to a voltage on the other side.
An AA battery provides a constant voltage, as a result of which there is no change in flux and no voltage on the other coil (120 V side, in this case).
However, there will be a flux change for a very short duration of time as the current in the 24 V side rises from 0 to its full value after the battery has been connected. During this time, a voltage will be induced in the 120 V side and you'll get an A.C voltage on this side. But this would be for a very short time duration.
So, the answer: After some time, there is no voltage (A.C. or D.C.) on the 120 V side.
Gasoline fuel cell might find its way into Volt-like cars of the future (Slash Gear)
The Volt has been having its share of issues of late with fires after crash
tests. Still it is one of the only cars of its type on the market today. The
car is technically an EV with a gasoline generator that is used to power the
batteries when they run out of charge. The [...]
